How does the Virtual Race option work?
A virtual race can be run (or walked) anytime and anywhere, even indoors on a treadmill. This option accommodates those who wish to participate but are unable to attend for whatever reason. This option has the benefits of time, date, and course flexibility, and allows participants to run however they prefer. Best of all, the virtual race option still contributes 100% of registration fees to the Food Bank of South Jersey!
To join the virtual race, simply register and choose the Virtual 5K, 10K or 1 Mile event button. Complete the distance anytime and anywhere. Instructions for recording your time can be found here, Our virtual race is based on the honor system, so you can track your time using any method you like.
What swag and awards are available for the Virtual Race?
Because of the flexibility and honor system of reporting, virtual race participants will not qualify for our event awards. But every participant, even the ones taking part virtually, will receive a T-shirt, swag bag, and finisher’s medal. You can pick up your shirt and swag bag before race day or we will mail them to you after Labor Day. If you need to pick it up prior to that, please email us at [email protected].
